Winter Workout

WORKOUTS

Commitment to regular training throughout the year needs to be a priority for all players who are going to compete and tryout for AAU. AAU is the most competitive basketball for youth players. The winter workouts will be designed to meet this need. In the winter with CYO, PAL, and TRAVEL providing valuable court time. The caliber of AAU basketball is much higher and will take time and extra training for players to adjust. This program will give players the best opportunities to be prepared for the AAU season.

ES 4th to 6th grade Boys & Girls Sunday 1pm – 2:30pm / Monday 5:00pm – 6:30pm

MS 7th to 8th grade Boys & Girls Sunday 2:30pm – 4:00pm / Monday 6:30pm – 8:00pm

HS Boys & Girls Sunday 4:00pm – 5:30pm / Monday 8:00pm – 9:00pm

AAU TRYOUTS

The AAU season is right around the corner. Spring will be here in no time. Be prepared for tryouts! we want to make sure that you’re ready for anything your coach may throw at you during tryouts. Make sure you are at your best when your best is required.

REPETITION

Every basketball player who has worked on their game knows that repetition is one of the best methods to improve a skill over time. When we practice something with repetition, we accept that we are working on a process that will take an extended amount of time.

COURT AWARNESS

Court awareness and seeing the entire floor on a basketball court are critical to an athlete’s success as a player. Nothing can replace the feel a player has for the game. We work to develop a player who consistently makes good decisions by cutting to the right spot, observing proper spacing on the floor, and anticipating rebounds.

OFFENSIVE SKILL WORK

Players will have a day during the month where they focus on nothing but skill work such as ball handling, footwork, form shooting, decision making, etc.
